Mission Statement

Our Mission

The BRAVO 369 Flight Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to education and the preservation of historical aircraft and aviation history through books and documentary film . Our main objective is to offer unique educational opportunities for students, teachers, and the general public to actively participate in a series of interactive and educational flight re-creation projects.

Our Vision

  • An organization, active in the community, focused on STEM education
  • Inspire youth to pursue careers in aviation, especially pilots, to overcome the ever increasing deficit we are experiencing today and into the future
  • Recognition of our veterans (especially those who have all but been forgotten, including the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), the 7th Ferrying Group (part of Air Transport Command and originally stationed at Boeing Field) and those who built the Alaska (ALCAN) Highway)
  • Creation of jobs through the development of a 12‐part PBS/National Geographic‐style historical documentary on Lend‐Lease and the Alaska‐Siberia (ALSIB) air route
  • Provide materials collected as part of this project to be openly distributed to K‐12 and higher education, including a speaker series – telling this vital  and untold story. It should be noted that the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II / The Great Patriotic War is less than 2 years away
  • Develop a military aviation museum focused on the history of the Alaska-Siberia air route and to restore and fly miltatary aircraft from that era for the educational benefit of schools, universities and the public

Values

The BRAVO 369 Flight Foundation values diversity on a global scale, providing an environment that empowers all people.  Only through listening and learning from others can we hope to share our history, our culture, our identity, and our future.

In the words of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 32nd President of the United States: “The structure of world peace cannot be the work of one man, or one party, or one nation… it must be a peace which rests on the cooperative effort of the whole world.”
